VOLUNTEER AT ESSEX RESCUE
Volunteers help keep Essex Rescue staffed and running smoothly throughout the year. Every minute of the year, clinical providers stand ready to respond. Responding to an average of ten 911 calls each day. Let us not overlook those non-clinical volunteers which are essential to all the other functions within our organization. They are parents, grandparents, students, teachers, builders, coders, social workers, mechanics, civil servants, bankers, police officers, snowplow drivers, scientists, retirees...they're just like you. And most of them had no experience in this industry when they first joined.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Non-clinical Volunteer
Essex Rescue is like any other business in that there is never enough help. Essex Rescue offers a community membership option for individuals seeking non-clinical opportunities to give back. This membership option has no medical training and no shift work. Many community members join the organization offering a valuable area of skill, talent, or expertise. Some simply shared a passion for the mission of the organization and wanted to get involved. The opportunities and needs are endless.
Clinical Volunteer Opportunities
Must already be NREMT certified to apply for a clinical position. Clinical volunteers fulfill monthly hour requirements which are based on their level of certification. Volunteers have the option of either running a set weekly shift or have flexibility to pick shifts/blocks of time within each month to meet their hourly requirement. Essex Rescue does not require their volunteer personnel to work weekends or holidays, although some still choose to do so. There are nights, days, and weekend slots available.
