Respond to emergency calls in Essex Junction, Essex, Westford, Jericho, and Underhill.
Over fifty volunteers keep Essex Rescue staffed every minute of the year, responding to an average of six 911 calls each day. They are parents, grandparents, students, teachers, builders, coders, social workers, mechanics, civil servants, bankers, police officers, snow plow drivers, scientists, retirees...they're just like you. And most of them had no medical training when they first joined.
Are you ready to join us?
Volunteers run one twelve hour shift a week, starting at 5:45am for a day shift or 5:45pm for a night shift. Our station has comfortable dorm rooms, a full kitchen, work stations, and a gym. Five full and part time staff support the organization, provide training, and answer emergency calls. No license or training is required for new members.
