Essex Rescue is Expanding!
In effort to provide continued exceptional service with a raising call volume and while trying to support our volunteer membership, we are expanding. We are adding three additional full-time ALS staff members. We are also filling an upcoming full-time vacancy.

Essex Rescue, Inc., is a private, not for profit, emergency ambulance service licensed at the paramedic level, located in Essex Junction, Vermont. On an annual basis, Essex Rescue responds to more than 2,400 requests for service. Since 1971, our combination department has served the communities of Essex, Jericho, Underhill, and Westford, as well as providing paramedic intercept services to many Vermont communities. From the suburban downtown of Essex to the backcountry of Mount Mansfield, Essex Rescue is committed to delivering high quality, safe and patient centered prehospital emergency medical care.

The employees of Essex Rescue, Inc., are leaders in the EMS community and the organization. Employees are expected to perform as a team leader, training mentor, and a team member working with other employees, volunteers, and partner first response agencies. In addition to clinical responsibilities, employees are assigned administrative duties to support the mission of the organization.

Position: Advanced Level Provider, Full Time (Advanced EMT or Paramedic)

Shifts: 3 - twelve hour shifts per week (days, nights, weekends, and holidays) Starting Salary Range: $40,000 to $45,000 (overtime eligible)

Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid vehicle operator's license
- Valid NREMT, Advanced EMT or Paramedic license
- Valid CPR certification
- ICS 100, 200, 700
- EVOC or equivalent
- Team lead experience
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and a vehicle operator's license check
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical
- For paramedics:
o Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
o Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
